Which search engine is best for PPC.

By ShowMeTheMoney | February 13, 2006

I have PPC campaigns for clickbank products running on google adwords and yahoo overture. Adwords is by far the easiest to set up, the website interface and tools are slick and easy to use. The Yahoo / oveture interface is in contrast pretty much a disaster area. Like most affiliates I started out using Google adwords and it really does spoil you. Howver in the long run my campaigns on yahoo / overture are twice as profitable as the ones on Adwords simply because of cost. I run essentially the same ads and landing page combination on both but my costs on overture are about half the adwords costs. I’ll fight with the bad interface anyday if I am going to make 50% more cash. They days of the 5 cent click are fast drawing to a close, Overtures minimum bid is now 10 cents but you’ll be hard pressed to find workable 5 cent bids on Adwords. Is it that Adwords has just got too greedy?
