Vendor pulls the plug on my major seller.

By ShowMeTheMoney | April 3, 2006

Well the vendors of one of my bigest selling products decided to pull the plug on it as of this morning. Now as you can imagine I am none too happy about it but it didnt come as a total surprise. The refund rate on it was getting up to 20% in some months. I know clickbank get very unhappy when refunds start becoming a problem so my guess is some pressure was applied for them to either stop promoting it or improve the refund situation. If it hadnt of been for the generous bonus scheme I probably would have swapped back to a different product some time ago. As it was, the beauty of having a landing page rather than linking straight to the vendors sales page allowed me to swap all the links back to a very similar competitors product in around half an hour. Although the commission on the new product is about 5 or 6 dollars less I think I might come out about even simply because of an improved refund rate. Anyway I guess its a reminder not to become to complacent about this stuff. I really do need to get some of my own products up and running as soon as possible.
