Tag and Ping and other stuff!

If you are at all involved with internet marketing then no doubt over the last couple of weeks you have been bombarded with email sales pitches about “Tag and Ping”. For a full explaination read this PDF To me this smacks of the same hysteria we had over “Blog and Ping” last year. Yep it worked great in getting your sites picked up by the major search engines for a couple of months. Then it was just completely abused and the search engines got wise. How long do you think its going to take this time before the idiots are spamming the hell out of the social networking sites with this tactic? With all the hype its already happening as you read this! Apparently some of the social networking sites are already puting “no follow” meta tags in the pages to stop the search engines indexing the links. If you discover a great way to get one way links my advice is just don’t tell anyone else!
Well as expected last month was very disappointing. Final sales were $17391.47 from 952 orders. Various factors were involved not least getting hammered by the Overture campaigns just not converting. A total overhall of all the campaigns has resulted in the first six days of June already equalling the whole of the last 16 day clickbank period!
