Adsense to Adwords Arbitrage? Beware!

By ShowMeTheMoney | July 11, 2006

Anyone doing Adwords to Adsense Arbitrage better watch out if the content on their pages is spammy! See this over at the google insiders blog:-

“From time-to-time, we improve our algorithms for evaluating landing page quality (often based on feedback from our end-users), and next week we’re launching another such improvement. Thus, over the coming days a small number of advertisers who are providing a low quality user experience on their landing pages will see increases in their minimum bids.

We realize that some minimum bids may be too high to be cost-effective — indeed, these high minimum bids are our way of motivating advertisers to either improve their landing pages or to simply stop using AdWords for those pages, while still giving some control over which keywords to advertise on”.

I hope this ends up killing those sites promoted with adwords which have virtually no content but are packed full of adsense ads! Leaves more room for the rest of us who actually provide some worth while content ;-)

Hello from the other side of the pond. I started of in my internet marketing doing Adsense arbitrage. The sites were pretty thin in content but over the past year I’ve been adding a lot of content to my sites. I was hit by this update pretty hard. I would appreciate your opinion of my site. Would you label it a spammy site? Thanks for your honest opinion.

P.S. You seem to be a very senseable fellow and I am currently involved in the 30 Day Challenge. I would like to find out if you have any tips you would be willing to share about how your promoting or selecting your products to sell.
