Does your Article Directory site suck?
By ShowMeTheMoney | September 10, 2006
I have a bone to pick with article directory sites. Guys if you run an article directory site I know you must have problems with junk articles being submitted. But do you really have to make it that hard to add an article? An email registration and confirmation routine is sensible, but those boxes where you have to type in almost unreadable numbers and letters from another box? I know this is to stop automated junk submission but honestly I am a legit user and I cant read them half the time, can you? Then once you get into the thing there are like only 4 categories or something to add articles to. For those of you using Article Dashboard (which is about ten billion of you!) to run your article site, please, please, check your config and make sure its actually all working! I can count on one hand the number of directories I have submitted articles to that are actually well thought out and easy to use and its clear to see why they are the top article directories on the net. Im not saying that its no longer worthwhile writing articles to promote your sites, just that its becoming increasingly difficult to do so.
