The Perils of Outsourcing
By ShowMeTheMoney | September 29, 2006
Theres a good post over at Mark Quarles Blog about the perils of hiring cheap programmers to develop projects from Rentacoder / Elance. As a one time software developer (back when I had a “real” job
) theres lots of projects I could be working on myself but what with everything else I never get the time. Outsourcing always seems to be the answer but having dipped my toe in the water with a few small jobs I’ve got to say it is incredibly hard to get anyone reliable. If you find someone who does a good job to your spec then they are worth their weight in gold (oh and can you let me know who they are, he, he).
