The Adwords Wrapper
By ShowMeTheMoney | October 24, 2006
I have been doing a bit of testing on Google Adwords for a new campaign. A really useful tool is the Adwords Wrapper (and no its not a musically challenged Internet Marketer!) Basically you feed in the keywords you want to use in your Adgroup and it generates all the various matching types for Adwords -> Broad, “Phrase” & [Exact] Match. Saves a lot of time.
I still struggle with Adwords, its by far the best generator of traffic of the three main PPC engines, but its always a balancing act to actually keep your ads running without breaking some rule or falling below some quality score. Plus its now fine tuned to perfection to extract as much money as possible from the unwary. I’d like to say its got easier to run Profitable PPC campaigns over the last couple of years. The reality is its now much, much harder, the tools may have improved but you need to plan properly. The days of just throwing together as large a keyword list as possible, linking directly to a products landing page with your affiliate link and then sitting back are sadly long gone! ![]()
