Learn from your failure?
By ShowMeTheMoney | March 21, 2007
A couple of weeks ago I think I mentioned we had been trying out a few ideas with co-registration. We had a couple of campaigns set up and eventually ran a test with one we thought (after a hell of a lot of research) had good potential. I have to say to date the results have been pretty mixed. Dont get me wrong I think its a great way to build a long term list in some markets, maybe just not the one we selected! So some disappointments but at least we gave it a try and I am pretty sure we will be revisiting this again soon. I did learn a lot about autoresponders, whitelist, blacklists and SPF records and a hell of a lot more I probably didnt really want to know. We also had some fail safes set up so that we didnt burn through a lot of cash testing campaigns that werent performing.
Its easy to get discouraged when a project doesnt work out but in this business Ive learned that only about 1 in 20 projects every makes any money! Its easy enough to be an arm chair critic / cynic but to ever make any money you need to at least take action on something, anything! Just do it!……. ![]()
