When the next big thing is just so Whatever!
By ShowMeTheMoney | April 10, 2007
Have you actually truly seen anything revolutionary on the internet marketing front recently? Is it just me or does the next big thing email pop into your inbox with relentless monotony?
Just recently I have seen some well know marketers totally over milking their email list with a sucession of dreary offers. Chris from Projectx is a case in point. He is always working on something that is going to turn internet marketing on its head. Yeah, whatever! Now I did love his last two products, hell I even promoted them, maybe I am jaded but like most things the next big thing is usually just a rehash of stuff that if you really thought about it you already knew. Maybe its a new take on putting it into practice but its not truly revolutionary. The trouble is the sales copy is usually so good it sells like hot cakes to those trying to break into internet marketing for the first time. How many of these products that you have shelled out for have you truly made use off?…… yeah, thats what I thought :-). Its time we were all a hell of a lot more cynical.
I am trying to think back to when I was last genuinely excited about a new internet marketing product. Sad to say its probably over three years ago with the release of John Reeses Traffic Secrets. And yes I know the original is on sale again in the lead up to him revamping it, and no I am not pushing it to you! Tsk so cynical.
The best marketers do not exploit their customers by bombarding them with an endless stream of rehashed product offers. We will be lucky if we see anything truly interesting this year but my bet is it will be a runner from the likes of John Reese rather than from the ProjectX stables

Well, I for one do agree.
It’s MEGO time over and over, almost daily. I think it’s a shame people are just copying each other to death. It’s getting really, really old.
Anyway, this sounds like a challenge to me, so I’ll put my mouth where my money is… if that makes sense…

I DARE you to read this book (released today) and say there’s nothing revolutionary about it!
